Plastic additives are added during the processing and use of plastic films because some of the inherent properties of resin or film products do not meet the requirements of the processing technology required, additives can change the processability; some materials processing properties Better, but the product performance is not up to the requirements, this also adds additives to change the performance of the product. The opener is one of the necessary additives for blown film. The following will be introduced in detail.
There are three kinds of open slip agent anti-blocking agents commonly used: oleic acid amide, erucamide, silica; in addition to additives, there are also open masterbatch and functional masterbatch such as smooth masterbatch.
Slip agent: Adding a smooth component to the film is like adding a layer of water between the two glasses, which makes it easy to slide the two layers of film, but it is difficult to separate them;
Opening agent: adding an opening agent or an open masterbatch to the film is as if the surface between the two glasses is roughened with sandpaper, so that it is easy to separate the two films, but it is difficult to slide;
Open masterbatch: the composition is silica (inorganic);
Slip masterbatch: ingredient amide (organic). The amide and the anti-blocking agent are added together to the masterbatch to make a content of 20 to 30%, which is an excellent open masterbatch product.
Introduction of three slip agents
1. Oleic acid amide:
Oleic acid amide, also known as oleamide, is added in an amount of 0.1-0.15% and must be added in the form of a mixture or masterbatch at the processing plant to ensure a uniform smoothing effect.
It can be used in polyethylene film to reduce the friction between the inner friction film and the conveying device during processing, and it is easy to release the mold, thereby increasing the yield and improving the surface gloss of the product. Oleic acid amide has a good effect on PE opening, but it has a large taste and a high precipitation, which affects corona and printing, especially for temperature requirements, and the amount used in summer and winter is different. In general, oleic acid amide migrates to the surface quickly, but the long-term friction coefficient of erucamide is lower than that of oleic acid amide, and it is better than the thermal stability of oleic acid amide.
2. Erucamide
Can be used as plastic film such as CPP, BOPP, LDPE, LLDPE, EVA, PVC, PVDF, PVDC, PU and metallocene polyethylene. By reducing the dynamic and static friction coefficient of the surface of the product (film or sheet), the film is easy to process and the packaging work efficiency is increased by about 0.12%.
The erucamide has a strong slippery property, a small amount of precipitation, a high temperature resistance, and is not easily yellowed, and has a distinct advantage over oleic acid.
As the opening agent of BOPP, the packaging speed can be as high as 500-800 packs per minute, and the friction factor must be ≤0.2. Only the addition of erucamide (about 0.12%) can obtain accurate static and dynamic friction factors.
In addition to being used alone, it is also possible to produce a PP inflation film which is highly demanding in terms of slipperiness. It can be used in combination with erucamide and oleic acid amide for better results.
3, SiO2 anti-blocking agent
The opening agent can well maintain the high gloss of the film, has strong anti-blocking property and dispersibility, can be uniformly dispersed in the film, and forms many fine and hard protrusions on the surface of the film, thereby reducing the film. The contact area between the two sides achieves the purpose of reducing the friction coefficient of the film surface, making the film easy to open, and at the same time, due to the presence of these protrusions, the outside air can easily enter between the two films, avoiding the film laminated on the two layers. A vacuum is formed between them to prevent the film from sticking.
Can be used for PP, PE and other film products.
Opening agent selection
The choice of amide and silica is very important in the open slip masterbatch.
The quality of the amide is uneven, which causes the effect of the masterbatch on the film to occur. For example, the taste is large, and there are black spots on the film, which are caused by excessive impurities and impure content of the animal oil. It should be determined according to the performance test and use of the amide during the selection process.
The choice of silica is very important. From the aspects of particle size, specific surface area, water content and surface treatment, it has an important influence on the production of masterbatch and film release process.
